Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Conference
26 - 28 March 2012
ERM will be actively participating in the first Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Conference to be held in Australia.
Under the theme Innovate, Integrate and Collaborate, the event aims to help bridge the divide between organizations in Australia and the Asia Pacific region, and international developments in integrated reporting on sustainability.
This half day interactive session will build on these ideas, evoking and making visible the collective intelligence of the conference, helping shape the region’s response to sustainability and integrated reporting globally. We aim to answer the questions already being asked such as: What are the drivers and barriers to sustainability disclosures in an integrated reporting approach? How can the G4 help enable integrated reporting and will integrated reporting make sustainability reporting obsolete? What do we need from reporting to transition to a sustainable economy? And whose responsibility is it?
About the Global Reporting Initiative
The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) produces a comprehensive Sustainability Reporting Framework that is widely used around the world, to enable greater organizational transparency. The Framework, including the Reporting Guidelines, sets out the Principles and Indicators organizations can use to report their economic, environmental, and social performance. GRI is committed to continuously improving and increasing the use of the Guidelines, which are freely available to the public.
ERM joined the GRI as an Organisational Stakeholder and is increasing its profile in this important global organisation which is seeking to shape the Sustainability agenda globally. ERM’s 2011 Sustainability Report was prepared in accordance with GRI Guidelines.
