The new report, produced by independent research firm Verdantix, is based on a four-month study covering 103 assessment criteria including expertise, differentiators, client base and organizational strength. “Green Quadrant Environmental Services US” provides buyers of consulting services with a guide to the breadth and depth of capabilities of fifteen services firms, and it reports that ERM achieved the highest scores for environmental management system design, as well as environmental due diligence. ERM also scored highest ranks for brand perception among consumers of environmental services and is in the top three “market leaders” of environmental service providers in the U.S. market.

As guidance for consumers of environmental services, the report recommends ERM for “buyers who seek a firm wholly dedicated to excellence in environmental services.” It also sees ERM as a good match for firms that need “environmental corporate services or transactional support” and those who “value strong health, safety and sustainability performance from their suppliers.”

Jonathan Beevers, NA Commercial Director, recognizes that "this report is external validation of our leading position in the market and ability to adapt to dynamic market conditions through the effective implementation of our strategy...and most of all - the commitment of our consultants to world-class delivery."

About the report
The report helps EH&S VPs and Directors, VPs of Environment, Heads of Procurement, and any other parties involved in engaging environmental services firms, select the provider best able to meet their needs across 11 unique service lines. The central questions answered include:

  • Which US environmental services provider has a capability set that best aligns with our needs?
  • What criteria should we use to shortlist environmental services providers?
  • Which US environmental services providers have the widest breadth of capabilities and the most momentum in this market?

To answer these questions, Verdantix assessed 15 suppliers via a 103-point questionnaire, extended supplier interviews and desk-based research. To deepen the insights from its global survey of EH&S decision-makers, Verdantix also conducted interviews with a customer panel of 15 expert environmental professionals from 10 different industries responsible for engaging and managing environmental services providers at their own firms.
