Andy leads ERM’s UK and EMEA biodiversity teams and works closely with ERM’s Global Biodiversity Technical Community. As experienced impact assessor, he regularly directs impact assessments, critical habitat assessments, the production of management and action plans (including offsets) to meet international standards and has given evidence at public inquiries / hearings and Parliamentary Committees. Andy plays an active role in ERM’s Global Technical Community and contributes to the review of applications to the ERM Foundation.
He holds a bird-ringing permit with a trainer’s endorsement, runs a Constant Effort Site (CES) as part of a national scheme to monitor changes in bird populations, a key biodiversity indicator group and rings seabirds on islands in the Forth Estuary in Scotland.
