The Co-operative Republic of Guyana is the only English-speaking country in South America. It is culturally and historically connected to the Caribbean and is a founding member of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). Guyana is endowed with fertile agricultural lands, valuable mineral resources—including bauxite and gold—and extensive tropical forests that cover 80% of its territory. Guyana's economy has been transforming since the discovery of oil in 2015 and commercial drilling in 2019.

ERM Guyana office was established in 2018 to support the country's growing energy sector.  Since then, the operation has grown, assisting our clients across their business lifecycle.  We have built a network of local providers and contractors, adding local content and delivery capacity.  ERM has also teamed with the University of Guyana (UoG) to conduct environmental and social studies.  The collaboration with the UoG also entails an internship program that has been implemented since 2021 and has allowed us to grow the local ERM team by incorporating students from the University.

The ERM Guyana team has the expertise needed to convert strategic intent into on-the-ground action. We call this capability our “boots to boardroom” approach, which allows us to develop strategic and technical solutions that advance objectives at all levels of an organization.
