I studied Chemistry and Environmental Management at college, but the first steps in my career led me into the tech sector. There, I found a real passion for harnessing the tools and techniques of data management to drive better business strategy and decision making. I ended up pursuing a master’s degree in data analytics, then took those skills to a non-profit focused on special education – I’ve always been quite purpose-driven, looking to make a difference. When I saw the opportunity at ERM, it seemed made just for me: a chance to apply my academic background, to work with data and to contribute to impactful initiatives. It was the perfect next step.
Now, working in Data Analytics & Visualization with ERM, I’m part of a team supporting a variety of different clients across various industries simultaneously, using various technologies to address their unique challenges. My work ranges from supporting a leading tech company with data center EHS analytics, to assisting top Oil and Gas companies with their EHS initiatives, to creating environmental monitoring dashboards for a mining company.
Plus, being part of a global community at ERM means I get the chance to collaborate with teams and professionals from different geographies – the kind of international experience that has really broadened my perspective on how data drives sustainability in different parts of the world.
In short, my job comes with a lot of variety! That not only keeps the work endlessly fascinating but also gives me a lot to learn – I need to work hard to stay current with all the latest technologies and techniques.
Recently, my efforts at ERM were recognized with a global award. It was a genuinely pivotal moment for me – truly career-defining. It shows that our work here isn’t just acknowledged but really valued. The award is far more than an object on the shelf or a line on my résumé – it has pushed me to keep striving for excellence, to keep developing new skills and to keep delivering great results, both for my colleagues and our clients.
When you can go to work knowing that it makes a real impact, it’s deeply motivating.
