Partner and Principle Lead of the Air Quality and Climate Change Practice in the Americas’ Western Division
I have great fun with what I do. I like the variety and the flexibility of consulting most of all and the fact that I am able to do business with so many companies and very bright people. I travel and visit interesting places and experience how things work in our client’s businesses, other offices and practices. I also help to grow our business by attending trade meetings with clients, giving presentations and getting informative alerts out to the marketplace
ERM’s model of collaboration and its focus on sustainability really sets us apart from our competitors. I was attracted to both this and the fact that ERM is a company that is growing, thriving and encourages collaboration with other professionals both in your area of expertise and beyond. I like that ERM is a performance-driven company that recognizes and rewards your accomplishments and the effort you put into your projects.
There is a great Air Quality and Climate Change team here in the Americas which I wanted to be a part of and to help it to grow in the Western Division. Our team of over 20 people in Northern California is well-regarded for its air-quality capabilities and the service we provide. We really enjoy working with our colleagues in other regions and with a diverse range of clients in our own backyard which have involved us in projects in locations ranging from California to Washington and from the Rocky Mountain region to Alaska and Hawaii.
Some of my recent projects have included:
- Completing air-permitting work for a biomass power plant in Hawaii,
- Helping five refineries in the San Francisco area with environmental permitting and air-quality issues on an ongoing basis and
- Working with a number of clients on matters of compliance with new regulatory requirements, including greenhouse gas emission assessments and reduction options.
The variety is never ending.
