ERM Client Alert: New Investor CDP Information Request for 2011
13 April 2011
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is the leading platform for climate change disclosure, holding the largest database of primary corporate climate change information in the world.
The data collected by the CDP is made available for use by a wide audience including institutional investors, corporations, policymakers and their advisors, public sector organizations, government bodies, academics and the public. Participation in the CDP is a pre-requisite for suppliers in many sectors and for shareholder's who want assurance regarding a company's climate change risk.
Participating in the CDP and achieving the best score possible is your first step in meeting the needs of your key stakeholders related to climate change.
The CDP recently published its CDP Information Request (CDP-IR) for 2011. Interested companies are required to submit their 2011 CDP-IR by 31 May 2011.
How can ERM help?
ERM can help you sort through the CDP-IR and understand the implications of these changes on our potential score. ERM can also assist companies in defining the key elements of their carbon management program for clear disclosure in the CDP, i.e. Management, Emissions and Reduction
