On May 21st, ERM is hosting a seminar on Regulatory Compliance for Food Contact Materials at Jumeirah Frankfurt am Main.
Ensuring the compliance of food contact material (FCM) requires permanent monitoring and follow up on latest regulatory developments to assure both the health of the consumer as well as a company's continued operations. In the frame of EU regulatory fitness program the framework legislation 1935/2004 is under evaluation in its entirety, intended for also covering a lack of harmonized implementation measures for all non plastic FCMs.
Additionally, the responsibility of stakeholders on environmental aspects of the use of FCMs is linking the compliance approach with enhancing sustainability throughout the supply chain, implicating further attention to the potential requirements for organizations.
The ERM Innovation Day will provide a holistic view of FCMs regulatory approach. Speakers from associations, industry and independent institutes will provide an update on the current developments in the food contact regulatory landscape of plastics and non plastics material. The seminar will also focus on environmental aspects of FCM in the context of recycling, circular economy and sustainability. In addition, our experts will provide information on addressing the permanent topic of NIAS in an adequate manner and implementation & certification of GMP system.

All stakeholders of the supply chain of food contact materials and managers who are taking responsibility in the areas of regulatory affairs, product stewardship, food contact compliance, quality managers and those who are involved in taking care of environmental aspects, circular economy and sustainability.
Key note speakers from associations, industry and independent institutes will emphasize on current challenges concerning framework regulation and regulatory on non-harmonized FCM. Environmental aspects in the FCM value chain and solutions in regards of optimizing the sustainability footprint will be addressed by senior subject matter experts.
