ERM Seminar: Environmental Business Risks in China - Comply or Close
4th April 2019
9am - 1pm
On April 4th, ERM will host a half-day seminar about the challenges of environmental compliance in China at the ERM Office in Neu-Isenburg (Frankfurt).
Chinese authorities have started to actively enforce compliance with environmental regulations. Thousands of violations of regulations have already been filed and the penalties range from serious fines to confiscation of company property and even plant shutdowns. A second round of central government environmental enforcement is expected to start in 2019.
The changing regulatory landscape creates new challenges for business and requires reassessments of the way in which environmental compliance is managed and monitored, both for a company’s own operations and for its supply chain. Understanding the implications of the new policies is critical to industrial and financial institutions with operations in China. Join our experts from China for this complimentary seminar outlining the scope and potential impact of these changes and what actions companies will need to take in order to manage risks from the ongoing environmental crackdown.
