ERM Chair/Co-Chair Sessions
Nadine Weinberg, Partner will be chairing a session called Advances in Vapor Intrusion Investigations. The session will focus on innovative methods used to investigate vapor intrusion issues at sites. She will also discuss a site investigation ERM performed using handheld devices to evaluate and distinguish between background sources and sub-slab sources.
Kevin Morris, Technical Director will be co-chairing the Explosives and Perchlorate Session with Katarzyna Kucharzyk of Battelle. The session will evaluate naturally occurring vs. anthropogenic sources of perchlorate and present the latest innovative in situ and ex situ remediation strategies for Explosives and Perchlorate impacting various matrices.
Melissa Boysun, Project Geologist will be co-chairing a session on LNAPL Recover/Remediation Technology Transitions with Harley Hopkins of ExxonMobil. This session covers many aspects of LNAPL remediation from innovations in vapor and product recovery to in situ processes and natural source zone depletion. This session is expected to draw a wide range of consultants, regulators and industry experts with renewed interest in the current state of LNAPL remediation with the recent release of the ITRC’s updated guidance document on LNAPL investigation and remediation, to which Melissa actively contributed.
