10 November 2008
ERM today announced that John Simonson has been appointed the new Regional CEO for ERM’s Europe, Middle East and African operations and Steve Laking has been appointed to the role of Regional CEO of ERM’s Asia Pacific operations.
John Simonson joined ERM over 20 years ago, and has held numerous roles. Most recently this has included leading ERM’s global M&A Advisory Services business, and as ERM’s Director for Growth in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Steve Laking joined ERM in 2002. In that time he was ERM’s Managing Partner in Australia and for the past 3 years has been Managing Partner for ERM’s UK and Ireland operations.
John Alexander, ERM’s CEO commented: “Last year we experienced record growth at ERM, but operationally, our strongest growth was in EMEA and Asia Pacific: where trading profit grew by 30% and 28% respectively. Both regions are exciting, dynamic and with huge opportunities for ERM and our People. ERM has a unique position in EMEA and AP and with both of these appointments we are looking to continue to build on this success.”
