A client's actions, or inactions, can influence the communities in which it operates, resulting in either positive or negative consequences. During the many years I have been working on public affairs issues for clients, I have seen the impacts of social risk on project timelines, budgets, staffing demands and brand reputation.
The public increasingly believes industry has a moral obligation to embed a social dimension within the firm's core value proposition. Companies in all sectors are embracing this perspective, and our team at ERM is supporting clients to develop strategic, practical and integrated measures that enhance the outcomes for all involved.
I work with a range of sectors, including support for oil and gas pipeline companies: building relations with other organizations, mapping key influencers, developing and advancing strategy and consultation programs, and managing internal and external communications strategies. My background in political consulting, public affairs and sustainability allows me to provide insight into social, environmental and economic impacts and improving each client's social license, corporate citizenship and sustainability efforts.
