Energy opportunities in Latin America
Mexico City, Mexico
As ERM’s Commercial Director for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), I am charged with leading the implementation of our global commercial strategy in the region and supporting our partners and consultants in positioning ERM to create value for clients across all of our sectors.
Oil and gas has been a strong commercial sector in LAC for ERM over the past few decades. This sector has been facing significant changes recently, particularly in Mexico, where the country’s energy reform process has brought profound changes to the sector, accompanied by a new regulatory framework and the creation of new agencies and processes. We recognized the importance of this change in Mexico and developed a strategy to address the most critical issues our clients would face as international oil companies are invited into the Mexican market with the potential to be operators for the first time in nearly 70 years.
Building on decades of our in-country experience, the knowledge of our experts based in Mexico and elsewhere internationally, and the understanding of our clients’ needs, we have supported more than 20 oil and gas clients to navigate these new market conditions since August 2014.
