Through the Academy, we offer a wide range of learning opportunities that are aligned to both our business goals and the individual career objectives of our employees, whether they are in a consulting or professional support role. We offer employees specialist training, focused on enhancing the skills they need to adapt to a changing market which is aligned with our career framework at each level. These training programs help employees enjoy productive and rewarding careers at ERM and support progression to more senior levels in the organization.
Every new employee completes a number of mandatory training and local onboarding activities through the Academy to ensure they can carry out their work safely and in compliance with the requirements and policies of ERM, our clients and relevant legislation.
The Academy offers a mix of classroom, e-learning and informal educational approaches. In addition, technical teams work with the Academy team to offer specialist learning curricula. These typically include a blend of customized e-learning, external professional training and on-the-job instruction, with all activities aligned to ERM’s performance management and development process. For example, our new Client Skills Development program provides in-depth training and post-training discussion forums to help Partners identify client needs in a more effective way. The program was developed in response to feedback shared by clients as part of our Senior Client Review process. Another program developed and piloted during the year was a Core Consulting Skills Program, which we will now implement across the business.
We also help employees broaden their expertise through knowledge sharing. ERM’s knowledge management system enables our teams to access client information and technical resources in real time. This platform allows us to pool our global experience and source the right local, regulatory, cultural and language skills to support client projects worldwide.
