The challenge
Yondr delivered their first ESG report with the support of ERM in June 2024, following a CSRD-aligned double materiality assessment (DMA), ahead of their first CSRD-compliant report, which is due in 2026.
What we did
We worked with Yondr to complete a CSRD-aligned DMA. This included a value chain assessment to examine Yondr’s impacts throughout their value chain, detailed stakeholder mapping and engagement, as well as the identification of risks and opportunities to the business and impacts on environment and people.
The DMA enabled Yondr to start looking at the quality and availability of their ESG data ahead of their formal CSRD disclosure, review policies and processes, and create plans and targets for each material area.
Working with ERM on our journey to CSRD compliance has helped us to refine our sustainability strategy, engage the business and remain focused on the ESG areas we can have the most impact. Being able to distil the complexity of the regulation into easy-to-understand ways to improve has proved a powerful tool for Yondr.
The impact
Yondr understands that there are real rewards for companies that use CSRD as an opportunity to lift their sustainability performance, rather than just seeing it as a compliance exercise.
From our work with Yondr, they have a clear view of their material impacts. As a result of stakeholder engagement, they know what matters to their clients, employees and investors. This has guided the development of their inaugural ESG report bringing a level of transparency to help the company build trust, identify risks, inform decision-making and secure green finance.
