13 June 2012
ERM has been named 26th in the Sunday Times’ Top Track 250 League Table of fastest growing companies, which ranks Britain's leading mid-market private companies by sales.
The Sunday Times is one of the UK’s biggest selling national Sunday newspapers. Its Top Track Ratings assesses the country’s top private companies and produce six annual league tables. ERM was ranked in the Top Track 250 league table.
The ranking reflects ERM’s growing position as a leading global provider of environmental, health, safety, risk, and social consulting services.
CEO John Alexander said: “The ranking is a significant acknowledgement of how we have continued to invest in the growth of the company in uncertain economic times. This has resulted in strong sustainable profitable growth and we are very optimistic about our prospects going forward. At constant exchange rates, FY11 saw our net consulting revenue increase by 12% and our trading profit by 18% compared to FY10.
“Acquisitions play a significant role in ERM’s growth and in April 2010 we acquired IRC Risk and Safety LLC – a Texas based limited liability company offering process safety and risk management consulting services. Post acquisition net revenue in this business is growing by over 30%. We have also just completed our latest acquisition, OASIS Environmental Inc, an Alaskan based business, which strengthens our ability to support major capital resources projects for our global clients operating in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.
“Our “niche” global business areas which include Information Solutions - delivering systems for gathering and using Environmental, Health and Safety information - and Certification & Verification Services (CVS), continued to grow rapidly, with trading profit up 20%.”
