ERM has joined forces with Trasys and Field Fisher Waterhouse to host a two day conference addressing the implementation and compliance with two key EU Chemicals policy instruments - REACH and CLP/GHS.
The event runs from 29-30 March and will initially focus on ways to efficiently achieve compliance with REACH and GHS/CLP obligations. Day 2 will focus on the latest IT tools, electronic exchange formats, web enabled platforms and solutions imposed by the legislators, enforcement authorities or proposed by the Industry to facilitate electronic submission of regulatory information for Chemicals Management in Europe and around the world.
Dave Best, REACH Practice Lead at ERM, said: “REACH doesn’t just affect companies operating within the EU but any organization exporting its products to Europe. Under REACH they are legally responsible for ensuring and demonstrating the safety of the chemicals being used.
“ERM helps clients around the world to comply with REACH, both at a strategic and technical level, at all stages of the registration and authorization process and to develop solutions for their chemical risk management and product stewardship initiatives. This experience places us in a key position in being able to demonstrate why companies need to be addressing this now.
“We have teamed up with Trasys, a Brussels-based IT consultancy and services company, to organize a conference that will provide the opportunity for multinational corporations to come together to share experiences about the impact of REACH, find out how other companies have addressed its requirements and understand how they can improve their ability to comply.”
The conference will be held in Brussels and include, for the first time in a public arena:
- Detailed case studies of how leading businesses are responding to regulatory challenges;
- Management systems and technologies organizations have put in place to support compliance;
- Easy to implement & practical best-practice solutions.
Representatives from the German Industry Association BDI and CEFIC will introduce into the topics.
World-leading REACH and CLP experts will present case studies and the very latest thinking, including representatives from: Solvay - 3M - Dow Corning - DyStar Textilfarben - ESIG/ESVOC - Johnson & Johnson - Procter & Gamble - REACHReady - UIC - Unilever - Field Fisher Waterhouse and more.
