ERM at the 2024 AIChE Spring Meeting and 19th Global Congress on Process Safety (GCPS)

Brian is a Health & Safety / Process Safety Management (PSM) consultant based in ERM’s Hartford, Connecticut office. Brian has over 8-years’ of experience and has completed regulatory Health and Safety and Process Safety Management audits in the following industrial environments: manufacturing, food processing, oil refineries, chemical processing, R&D labs and pharmaceuticals. Additionally, he has developed and implemented Process Safety and health & safety programs, training, and both qualitative / quantitative industrial hygiene assessments. Brian is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) as well as an Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), both through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).

Chris has more than 23 years' work experience in the areas of process safety management and risk management, compliance with an extensive process and environmental background. He has expertise in various PSM related areas such as process hazard analyses (PHAs) including HAZOPs, HAZIDs and what-ifs, management of change (MOC), pre-startup safety reviews (PSSR), PSM audits, process safety information (PSI) and process safety requirements for the offshore industry. In addition, Chris also is experienced on the quality management side in terms of FMEAs for the medical and automotive industries; occupational safety in terms of job safety analysis (JSA) and environmental engineering in terms of waste water designs, environmental statements, impact assessment and ENVIDs. One of Chris’s strengths is his capability to work and interact with a wide variety of disciplines and functions—from operator to CEO. He currently is providing risk management expertise in ERM Americas Risk Practice projects.

Larry has over 20 years of experience in environmental, health and safety management with a focus in development and implementation of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Planning (RMP) programs. Larry has diverse experience in the chemical, consumer goods, specialty metals, automotive, oil & gas, pulp & paper, pharmaceutical and food/beverage industries. He is an expert with interpretation and compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations (including 29 CFR 1910.119 and 40 CFR 68); implementing policies and procedures to meet all federal, state and local requirements. Larry has worked in industry where his experience includes start-up and operation of manufacturing facilities, including training, program development, compliance and reporting of health, safety and environmental matters. During his tenure with ERM Larry has completed over 175 EHS and 140 PSM/RMP compliance audits. Larry is certified in Process Hazard Analysis facilitation and is a Certified Process Safety Auditor (CPSA).

Steve has over 30 years of experience in environmental, health and safety consulting with a focus in development and implementation of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Planning (RMP) programs. Steve has designed, implemented and/or audited PSM/RMP programs for a variety of industrial clients in various sectors including mid-stream and down-stream oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive, food and beverage, power, metals, mining, semiconductor and general manufacturing. In addition to a strong focus on OSHA’s PSM Standard and EPA’s RMP Rule, He has extensive work globally with Risk Based Process Safety (RBPS) programs for clients in the following countries: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, China, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom. Steve has conducted over 300 EHS or PSM/RMP compliance audits during his tenure at ERM. He has a BSME from Clemson University and is a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) and Certified Process safety Auditor (CPSA).

Biran is based in ERM’s Ewing New Jersey office. Brian has over 30-years’ experience in electrical safety, fire safety and energy storage systems in the following industrial environments: manufacturing, food processing, oil refineries, chemical processing, power transmission, ship repair, and pharmaceuticals.

Brian has worked on projects in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, France, and India. Brian is a Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) through the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
